About

I am Paul Skinner, a coder and a creative.

I conceive and develop interactive experiences, whether on the web, on mobile platforms, or in the physical world. I’ve worked with some of the world’s top brands on some high profile global briefs and pitches. By combining my understanding of technologies/tools with a passion for great ideas, I like to create experiences that are fun, engaging and emotive.

I am currently working as a Creative Technologist at Wieden + Kennedy. Since joining W+K, I have worked across a wide range of clients (NikeNokiaHonda, FairtradeThreeNesteaGuardian); mostly being part of the creative team on live client briefs, and sometimes as a creative/technical supervisory position on peripheral projects.

I enjoy working at all stages of a project, from strategy to concept to production. I love to get stuck into a brainstorm for that elusive idea, or diving properly into the code to make a prototype or in production. I believe in collaboration, and find that there is often a spark when working with people from completely different backgrounds.

Experienced in a wide range of programming environments, I work on the most appropriate development platform for each project, and I do my best to experiment with new technologies as they emerge. I’m good with actual-real-life tools too (spanners and drills etc). I fix things, and build things. Like motorbikes, normal bikes, cat-scratching posts, and other stuff.

I hold a first class degree in BSc (Hons) MediaLab Arts from the University of Plymouth, UK.
